I've never cared what is "in" or not. I can't afford or want to be bothered with going out and buying new things each season just because someone decided it was in or not. I would rather spend the money on a good piece that I love then a couple dollars on junk costume jewelry.
I go with what I like. I go with what looks good on me and with my outfit. I am more partial to silver or white gold but I have pieces that are more a yellow gold. I have some limitations of metals due to allergies.

I like white gold. Yellow gold does NOT work well with my skin tone. Lol.

I heard that gold wedding sets are coming back in style too. I like both gold and silver, depends on the outfit I'm wearing. I especially like gold though, since I don't get an allergic reaction to it.

I have both. I started with yellow gold and switch a lot to white gold. I am seeing/hearing a lot about yellow. I wear white currently. I do have a little trouble following the trends.

Silver/white gold are better suited for my coloring than yellow gold so I'm glad that that's been the trend for many years now. It's also nice because silver is relatively cheap...I have many pretty pieces of Tiffany jewelry that would have been way out of our budget in gold but a nice splurge in silver.

I go to an annual jewelry and accessories sale every fall for a local charity (the stuff is pretty, trendy, and dirt cheap) and noticed more gold-tone pieces this past season and picked up a pretty necklace that had gold-tone metal instead of my usual silver. It wasn't a conscious choice - I just liked the design of the piece and color of the beads - but it's nice to have something yellow-gold-colored in my collection.

I always wear gold jewelry because of my coloring. I never follow any trends - I just wear what's comfortable and looks good on me.

I don't follow the trends. I have classic jewelry that I wear daily and I do not wear any costume jewelry. My watch is solid gold, ring and earrings have gold supports for the stone.

I prefer sterling silver, particularly in earrings. Gold and other metals irritate my ears.

I don't purposely buy trendy jewelry so I haven't paid attention to advertisements, although I did notice when "chocolate diamonds" were everywhere. I though that was brilliant marketing because brown diamonds have a long history of being nearly worthless for jewlery. Calling it chocolate and using them was a great way to make money off of scrap that was usually sent off for industrial use.

I've seen some lovely pieces, but I'd never pay what they are asking at retail price. The metal in the jewelry is more valuable than the brown diamonds, which is why they can be liberally encrusted with them.

I don't follow other peoples styles. I don't care for a really yellow gold. My jewelry is usually a silver style because it looks better with my skin. My skin doesn't change with the fashion trends...

No idea what the trend is. I like silver. I think gold is ugly.

I do think yellow gold is coming back in style. I have a yellow gold wedding ring, but I like white gold and sterling silver jewelry as well. I just figure I can set my own trends!
