My 6 month old is big; 29" long and almost 22lbs. He sleeps 12 hours through the night but wakes up every morning soaked through his diaper, pajamas and sheet. I've been using huggies overnites and recently when up one size and added a 'diaper doubler'. It has not helped. In fact I suspect the doublers make it worse. What can I do???!!!
I'm still trying to solve the problem. Double diapering didn't work. Diaper doublers don't work. The only waterproof pants I can find are way too big and when I tried changing his diaper in his sleep he woke immediatly and peed all over everything;pajamas, sheets, me, everything! Ugh.
I was also having that same problem with my son. I bought the small size of G diapers (inserts), I fold them in half and put it at the front of his diaper. I catches and absorbs all the extra fluid and we have been dry ever since.
Hi S.. If you don't get any resolution to the problem. I have cases of pads to put over sheets to save the sheets from getting soaked. we had the same dilemma and basically it meant either our son wakes up wet OR we change him about mid-way thru the nite... like say AFTER 6 hrs.. when we did change him, he didn't wake up.. :) although we had to.. then again, you do what you have to do and eventually.... this phase passes.
Other than that, there really was no other way around it.
my husband and I took turns getting up.. actually, it was always kinda funny that while we changed our son, he slept thru it. he looked sooooooooooo cute too. I still have fond memories of his little sleepy face. Give it try.

My daughter had the same problem. I went up one size in overnight diapers, used TWO doublers and made sure she was nice and warm with fleece footie PJs. She always leaked if she was too cold. Make sure the diaper is tight enough as the size is bigger so the tabs will be below the usual place. You might try Pampers cruisers instead of Huggies overnight. My daughter began to ALWAYS leak with Huggies. Good luck!

I actually used training pants over the nite time diaper and it kept the PJ's dry. They have some at Target that are plastic on the outside (similar to what people use to use over cloth diapers) and if your son is big, there should be no problem with them fitting him. Get a few pairs.
My daughter went through this for a short time. After she was about 1 year old she didn't have these problems.
As several others have mentioned, be sure you point his business downwards. Also, re: going up a size, make sure that the waist and leg holes are still tight enough to be effecctive.
Try Pampers - they always worked better for my wiggly son & wait a little longer after his last bottle before putting him to bed so maybe he'll pee one more time...
Pampers Cruisers for the appropriate weight. My brother swore by them, so I've never tried anything else and never had a problem - and for my brother to take diapering so seriously, I figured his advice had to mean something - ha!
My 16 month old is having the same issue some nights- I am thinking about cutting out fluids past a certain time..... but being yours is only 6 months that night time bottle is important. I would suggest the changing him in the middle of the night thing.

I didn't read your responses, but try a different brand diaper! Huggies never worked for either of my children. They always leaked! Pampers and Luvs both worked. They have different "styles" too, so trial and error may work for you.
