I keep hearing commercials for Sensa and wonder if it works. Have any of you used it? What were your results? Did it simply make you less hungry so you didn't eat as much? Were there certain types of foods you couldn't eat or no longer wanted to eat?
Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide! And for those of you who have never used it but will tell me it's just hype... don't worry, I'm not looking to buy Sensa or try to lose weight. I'm just curious.

My husband looked into it one time because he saw the commercials and thought it was some sort of salt or something to make your food taste bad and he was curious what it actually was.
It was developed by a neurologist. The ingredients are harmless, calorieless. The whole idea is that you feel full faster when you eat aromatic foods, so it's basically aroma in a jar. You shake it on, it makes your food smell really powerful so your brain signals that you're full sooner.
I don't know if it works, I wouldn't try it, if the science behind it works, then you should be able to sniff any strong smelling food while eating to curb your appetite. Try sitting there sniffing a jar of garlic powder and see if it does anything, same effect but you're not out any cash ;)
One of my friends used Sensa for quite awhile with no results. I looked up info on the product.
The ingredients are simply tricalcium phosphate (suppliment), maltodextrin (a sweet tasting corn-derived starch) silica (sand, basically. It prevents clumping.) soy (filler) and natural/artificial flavors. None of these things actually curb appetite. Sensa works via placebo. The product isn't harmful though.
The harmful part of Sensa is the advice that comes with it, because the program encourages unhealthy eating habits.
I tried it, and am planning to try it again. I only stopped because my son was still in a phase where he liked to eat off my plate, so to stop the frustration I stopped. It NEVER failed he saw me sprinkle and came running and did not want the plate I set aside for him - he was 3 it was not worth the fight. However I feel it had the potential to work for me.
I don't know anything about Sensa, but I remembered that I have seen it here before.
