Handwriting Analysis

So, my aunt taught me a little about handwriting analysis when I was little and I have always just loved doing it. Handwriting Analysis is being able to find out all about a person through their handwriting. My aunt use to do it for the courts basically analyzing criminals handwriting determining if they were lying or not. As much as people are skeptical...it's very real and accurate. I've never been wrong about a person. Anyways, so I was thinking about doing some schooling for this, but I want to know, do you think I could make good money doing this?
I forgot to also tell you that my aunt had no training in any other field such as criminal justice.

What can I do next?

I think it's awesome and I would love to learn about it, but paying for a class wouldn't be an option for me :(

The building I work in houses the state Department of Forensic Services (DFS). There is a sector for handwriting analysis, but I think there are only 3 people in that section because there are not a ton of documents for analyses that are needed (and, as a previous poster said, the analysis is just one of their many skills). They do go to court and testify on high profile cases, and yes, they do get paid well. However, they all do have higher degrees in the forensic or criminal justice field (Master's or higher). If you have the means to go to school for it, you should! It also helps to qualify you on the stand when you're testifying in court as well. Good luck!

There are definitely experts in handwriting analysis out there. I don't know how easy it would be to get to that point. I'd imagine you'd also need training in criminal justice or whatever. But I have always found it so fascinating, too! If you have the time and money for school, without a lot of pressure to earn a lot of money soon, then do it because you love it. But it seems like one of the fields that are not guaranteed, so you might be more likely to succeed with another career path. Research it, though!!

What field of work would you go into? I think if you could get into the criminal field of work then go for it. I personally would love to know how to handwrite analyze and people profile (like knowing their personality very thoroughly), but I don't know if the latter is real I just love the idea from a movie lol.

I wondered this same thing because I was really into it in highschool. When I researched, I found that it wasn't as "accepted" in the US and the best schools were in Britian. So, since I didn't want to live and work and go to school out of the US I decided not to go with that field of study.

But, that was in 1997 and things change. Maybe do some in depth research about the schools that have that degree/training? Doesn't it make sense that if there are no schools in the US for it, there is not a lot of need for it? Just an idea. Good luck. I am so excited for you if you do it.
