Hi L., I have had that happen to me and I use an organic cleaner called Basic H. I have used it to get gum out of my kids hair, gum out of carpet too. It's a Shaklee product, not sold in the retail stores. I'm a rep for the last 20 yrs. you can call me ###-###-####)or here is my website www.dianeshealthyalternatives.com
If you're interested let me know, I have more info on it: I use it to wash my vegies, 2 drops in a spray bottle is a window cleaner, etc. a Green product that saves me $. D.

There is a household cleaner called "Greased Lightening". I used it on my son's basketball jersey (the coach had used mailing labels for nametags on the front and back of the jersey). The jersey was washed and dried before I realized the label was there! My mother-in-law introduced me to the product after I had an ink pen explode all over some denim capris. Spray and use a brush. If you can't find it at your grocery store, Home Depot and Lowe's both carry it. I use it for EVERYTHING including my white vinyl flooring!

I would try Goo Gone. Just start with a tiny dab and scrape it through the sticker with your fingernail or a spoon, gently on the fabric.

Rubbing alcohol and/or hair spray (contains alcohol)

Hairspray takes out ink, lipstick and nail polish, peanut butter and SSS by Avon takes out gum. Ice and/or rubbing alcohol remove sticker residue and usually candle wax or you can try Goo Gone. Wal-Mart usually has it and so does Kroger.
