I say let the youngest be the Flower Girl & let the 5 & 8 yr olds be Jr. Bridesmaids...Let them walk together down the aisle..... They will feel like such grownies and so special that you chose them to do something like an adult will do!
Congratulations and Best Wishes!!

Let the 8 year old be a Jr. Bride with a pretty dress and a bouquet of flowers. Let the 5 yr old be a ring carrier or flower girl and let the younget be a flower girl.

Flower girls? You can buy silk petals at any dollar store for dirt cheap or buy circles of toole and wrap up candy, rice, etc and let them greet the guest and hand them out. Good Luck

Hello S., I also think the flower girls are a good idea or you can just let them walk in by themselves as Jr. Brides/ bridesmaids. anything with the girls will be fine by themselves walking down the aisle and you can mix it up....if you think they would be better not standing up with y'all through the ceremony then you can let them sit right up front together after you walk down the aisle! It depends on how you really feel about the whole thing...just walking before you will be a big honor for them I'm sure...Congratulations by the way!! My daughter had her bridesmaids, maid of honor, flower girl (which were all sisters, cousins, in laws...etc) and then her soon to be daughter(3) was the Jr. Bride and walked with my son(5) who was the Jr. Groom and it was beautiful...so good luck and just have fun and do whatever you and your soon to be husband want to do, nothing is wrong if you two like it so just remember that!!!! When I got married, we wanted to include the oldest niece & nephews (those that could walk straight). We had the flower girl and ring bearer and to make sure my 8 year old nephew didn't feel left out he had the most important job (for my side of the family)...he carried a basket of pocket tissues & we called him the "tissue bearer"...it went over like a hit with all the guest as they laughed when he tossed them to people he couldn't reach in the center of the pews...we thought my side of the family would need all the tissues because we are usually the more "emotional" bunch...turns out my husbands side of the family used more tissue packets. Everyone commented that it was a fun surprise and we still rib my nephew about it to this day (he is 16 now so he doesn't think it was so cute).
Have fun and don't take the day too seriously, it's the marriage, not the wedding that's the important part for the kids. Long after they have forgotten about who did what at the wedding, they will be remembering how you two love each other.

you could have the oldest and younest at the guest book and then the middle one can hand out the bvubble / birdseed. or if yoy are having programs the ycould do that. they do not have to be in the wedding party. good luck

There is no rule that you have to have an equal number of anything, especially flower girls. Make the oldest the "head" flower girl and she can carry a bouquet, let her walk in first. Then the two littler girls can walk in together carrying baskets with flower petals if the location you are getting married allows them to be sprinkled. If the location does not allow live petals to be sprinkled, ask about artificial flowers, you can get those petals for the same price if not cheaper than the real ones. Congratulations!
