r u in austell off of I20? if so, there is a place called Adamsville recreation center. it is a new facitiy on 285 where it connects with I20. the fee is $90 or $95 dollars for a year. but u have to pay the whole amount up front. i thought that is a good price, considering Run-n-shoot is $35 a month.

Hey S., Well when I dedided to make a change in my body after having my first child, I joined LA Fitness. I wouldn't suggest the personal trainers, but they have everything you need, even classes and a baby club while you work out. They normal hours are usually until 11pm, but child care will close at nine. I pay 35 a month, which could be cheaper, but if you utilize the facility, then it won't seem like much at all. Mines comes directly out of my account so I don't even see it. The facility is clean and they have them all over atlanta. Oh yeah and that 35 includes kidsklub. Just go in a speak with someone and see what they can do for you. If you are like me I don't trust myself to work out at home when I am just starting a regimine because I am not disciplined yet, but if you can be focused at home is the best.....There are so many great videos out there and what I found is if you have Comcast. They have what's called on demand and they have numerous workouts, quick workouts, dance routines, abs....etc. Eat right ofcourse and you can also walk. Take your baby and walk around the neighborhood or school track.

I'm new to the area, but have almost always used a gym. My advice is to check around the hours, schedules, and fees. Most gyms will give you a free week trial pass. Also, if you are disciplined, you can do a lot by walking, jogging and biking. Throwing in some abdominal exercises will help you. Try to have at least 30 minutes exercise 3-4 times per week. A good fitness book or video will help. Also, I had a lot of luck with e-diets. You can customize your plan to prepare your own food, or a convenience plan that incorporates frozen dinners from the grocery. It takes a week or two to become familiar with it. Printing menus for future reference help. Good Luck! T.

Oh hunny, honestly as far as going to a gym you might be better off not joining a gym. Well let me explain first why I say that. I'm a single mother and the only time I had to go to the gym was early in the morning before work while she was at the daycare. That was a 2 hour process just to get there and I only would end up having 30 minutes in the gym. So for me the gym just didn't work. Plus the daycare hours in the gym didn't work with my work schedule. So if you have someone to watch your baby while you are working out or your work hours fit the gym's daycare hours then the gym is great. You have everything you need right there and might even find someone to give you advice on the right exercises to do. Now for single mothers who can't get to the gym I recommend doing either Turbo Jam or The Firm. (turbojam.com and firmdirect.com) Turbo Jam is a great cardio workout to help you drop the weight. The Firm is aerobics and weight training together to help tone your body and drop the weight. It can be found in Wal-Mart or Target but check all prices to compare. I enjoy both workouts. Hope this advice helps.
