Comfort Suites Maingate East at Old Town - 2775 Florida Plaza Blvd., Kissimmee, FL ###-###-####
The hotel is about 10 minute drive from Disney. Free breakfast. Right next to Old Town- stores and rides for the whole family. Nice hotel, I have stayed there twice.
Other posters had good points about staying at the Allstar Hotels on Disney. Bus is nice- it goes right to Magic Kingdom- no monorail or boat ride! And the Allstar Hotel buses fill up so no need to go to other resorts.

Hello,
Last time we were in Disney we stayed at WorldQuest Resort. It was my husband, my niece, my 2 1/2 yr old, and myself. It's very quiet and very close to the theme parks!! We liked the fact that it was a condo setting. It had a full kitchen where we could make some of our meals and save money by not eating out all the time. They have 2 bedroom or 3 bedrooms. A beautiful pool! They have a website if you are interested in taking a look at the resort.

I suggest looking into Disney's value resorts...believe it or not you can sometimes stay on property for $49 a night! You are going to be hard pressed to find something cheaper than that! Also it can often help to call Disney versus purchasing online; a live person is always willing to negotiate more than a computer is!

My other suggestion is to look at LaQuinta. They have 6 hotels in the Disney area and all run about $55 a night. We LOVE LaQuinta and belong to their free stay club. If you stayed for even just 4 nights, you would have enough free points to stay two free nights there another time! Just another option!

Good luck!

I second the LaQuinta suggestion. I've never stayed at the Orlando locations but have been at several in other states throughout the country and have never had a bad experience.

Also I suggest going to Priceline before you commit to anything and bid. If you don't have a particular hotel in mind and can be flexible you can usually get great deals. It doesn't hurt to throw a bid out there. If it's too low and gets rejected you just book a hotel the traditional way but it's worth a try. We've done this for all of our vacations for the past few years and have always ended up getting a better hotel for the money then we would have had booking through the hotels.

Good luck,
K.

I don't recall the name of the mediocre hotel that we stayed at in Orlando, but I would suggest trying an Embassy Suites hotel. Their room rates are very reasonable, and you get a 1 bedroom suite with a separate living room area with pull-out couch, or you can get 2 double beds. You also get a full breakfast (perfect for fuel before a long day at Disney) and a nightly manager's reception of drinks and appetizers. We try to stay at an Embassy Suites any time we need a hotel.

I have been to disney at least 20 times, and the best advice I can give is stay on property. The value resorts can be modestly priced during the off season and have fun themes for kids

If you are on disney property you get a few benefits, like bus service so u never need a rental car and extra magic hours at the parks and the meal plan, which can save a lot and right now i think they have the meal plan deal for free. Call disney and see what they are offering, it may be cheaper than u think, they most expensive part of the trip is the park tickets, the rooms arent so bad!!

I second disboards as well, can be a little overwhelming but a lot of experienced disney goers with a lot of info!! message me if you want more info!!

There is a website called Disboards.com. It is a discussion board and you'll find/or ask questions for anything you need to know about Disney. The website is divided into categories such a hotel, restaurants, theme parks, transportation, etc.

The last time I went to Orlando was a long time ago. But my family finds better luck renting other people's houses. There is a lot more space and usually a full kitchen so we can eat at home and save some money. Each home is different, but some are absolutely incredible! Here are two Web sites to check out: www.vrbo.com and www.homeaway.com.

We stayed at the Pop Century. They have package deals all the time. They have buses that run all day to to parks.
