I'm looking for a simple, at home data entry job. Transcription, general data entry, etc. I came upon this site from another site that recommended it. Of course I need to pay a fee to sign up (not surprised) but I want your thoughts. There has to be some legit online data entry jobs out there. If you know of any please let me know.

I'm not looking for medical transcription since I need schooling for that. I'm looking for a job that I can start right away and won't need to pay for schooling. Thanks!

I didn't bother to look at the site, but if they are requiring you to pay of fee, there's a +80% chance that it's not legit. I wouldn't take a chance.

doesn't look like it....if any work at home company requires you to pay some kind of money up front (I only glanced at this site but it looked questionable) it's a scam. Try liveops.com they have been featured on msn money & yahoo financial as well as on the news. Good luck!

No. Not legit. And I am sorry to say, but there simply aren't Internet data entry or transcription jobs available. Any US company can send their transcription to India or the philapeans for much less than they'd have to pay US citizens. I work for a huge company that brokers this kind of international work and trust me, even little companies are going to India rather than hire Americans.

Also, if you have to pay any sort of fee, the company is not legit.

No. If everyone could make between $300 and $1000 doing data entry from home, they'd be doing it. Sorry, but that claim alone, screams "scam" to me.

My husband's cousin actually did medical transcription from home to support him and his family while attending college. So, unless things have changed (which they might have), there are legit medical transcription jobs that you can do from home. And he didn't have any training in it.

He said you have to sign up and it took a couple of years before he got his first job through it because everyone wants to do something like that from home.

However, just as a tip, typically if part of the web address includes the word "legit," it's probably not.

You should not have to pay to get a job. If you are looking to make money at home become certified in an area that already works at home like medical transcriptionists and get a jobs through job placement by the school or do daycare or work on finding local companies that allow some to work at home but usually they require you to work within first to see work ethic and train you.
A small business idea that you come up with and work on yourself but that would take at least a little start up money and take time to build.
However if your looking to avoid childcare costs doing daycare in your home is one of the few ways as most bosses will not tolerate you saying to a client just a minute and having you yell to make sure the child wipes and flushes or whatever the child needs. This way with watching another child yours gets social time, you still get time with yours and you get a little money.

I'm with everyone else on this one - if you have to pay money up front, it's probably not legit. I wouldn't chance it.

Have you researched the company on line. Usually you can find enough info to help know if it's legit or not.

No. Sorry, wish I could give you better news. These jobs really do not exist. Even the medical transcription jobs are fake. They are all scams to get you to pay somehting. There are no doctors or hospitals in the US that let people do med transcription work like that from home, privacy rules alone don't really permit it. Good luck.

I fell for something like that years ago and paid about forty dollars. They sent me some piles of papers about searching for lost mortgages. It was pretty bogus but i learned something. Never pay for something like this.

I clicked on your link and looked up My-Data-Team. It seems to be very deceptively worded.
