Dd, Ds, D'what?

Will someone please tell me what all the abbreviations people use in these parenting sites mean, like DD, DS, and so forth?  I have seen a lot referring to what I think are husbands and children.  Thank you so much!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thank you! Yay! Now, I know!

Yep. Husbands and children.
DH-Dear/Darling Husband...or in my case Deaf Husband. No offense to the deaf community. :)
DD-Dear/Darling Daughter...or in my case Disobedient/Defiant Daughter.
DS-is of course, Dear Son...and he is. ;)

HTH! Which means-hope that helps! :)
ETA-Edited to add...like I just did. Lol.

I don't know who started this "dear" business, but ....

DH = dear husband
DS = dear son
DW = dear wife
DD = dear daughter

SS = stepson
SD = stepdaughter

MIL and FIL = mother and father in law, respectively
SIL = usually sister in law, but sometimes son in law
BIL = brother in law

LOL! So funny - I asked this same ? a few months ago. There's a website that lists TONS of abbreviations, but here it seems to be used as Darling Daughter/Son/Husband. If you look in the "browse local questions" section, I think the website is listed specifically.

Finally! Someone explained ETA. For the life of me, I could not figure out why everyone kept talking about when they thought they would arrive!
