Dallas Zoo or Fort Worth Zoo?

Hello Mommies
Which is better to go to The Dallas Zoo or the Fort Worth Zoo? I would love to take my kids, I'm kind of leaning toward Dallas since it's closer, but Fort Worth looks nicer. Can anyone give me some advice on the Zoo's out here?
TIA
K.

What can I do next?

Last time we went to the Dallas Zoo I was really dissapointed. There were hardly any animals there! The Ft. Worth Zoo is so much nicer.

The Fort Worth Zoo is so much nicer than Dallas, the animals are in a habitat that looks more natural. The Dallas Zoo has them in a concrete cage with cardboard boxes to play with. It really is sad :(.

Fort Worth Zoo is way better. Enjoy!

the FW Zoo is the best bet!!

You are right the Fort Worth Zoo is nicer, but I don't think it is so much better that you need to make the drive. If you take the train ride and walk through that part of the zoo (away from the main zoo) it is pretty neat and more like the Fort Worth zoo. Last time we were there, the kids zoo at Dallas was better too, so you definately want to visit it, but call ahead to make sure the kids zoo isn't closed for some reason.

We have been to both zoos in the past year, and by far enjoyed the Fort Worth zoo much, much better. The drive is definitely worth it.

I know the Fort Worth zoo is further, but that is the zoo I recommend. Went to the Dallas Zoo over the summer, I was extremely disappointed. I will not go back until I hear something has changed.

Good Luck,

My vote is the Fort Worth Zoo. Dallas Zoo needs some serious updating or to be torn down! The poor animals are so sad to see and it's amazing that our Zoo looks so bad! The only part that was kind of cool was the children's part but not worth going for just that.
