For Christmas a couple of years ago I bought a nice white t-shirt and some fabric paint and made a shirt for my daughter to give her Daddy. I smeared paint on her hands and made handprints on the shirt and then wrote with fabric paint "World's Greatest Daddy Hands Down". He loves it and wears it alot 2 years later. In fact he's worn it so much it's falling apart and we need to make him another one he says.
Another year we got a kit from Michaels and did her footprint in plaster. On the back I pasted a little blurb about how my daughter will follow in his footsteps and be a great parent because of him being such a great role model.

i just saw a series of books at Target called "why a daughter/son needs a father". it was really cute. it just had little sayings like what a dad can teach them and stuff.

There are many different stores and Kiosks that do personalized gifts quickly. At Stratford Mall there is a kiosk that does ornaments (we did that for the grandparents) and a store that does shirts/hats/etc within an hour. You can also try Things Remembered for ideas!

For my hubby I make him gifts from her with her pictures. I buy the frames with several pictures slots in them and then filled it up with pictures of the two. The first Christmas I did him giving her a bath, taking her out, sleeping on the couch holding her etc and also Googled Daddy poems and found some great ones to put in the last picure slot! He got all teary and could not talk at all... of course it was dust in his eye! lol I have been doing the same for Fathers Day and Christmas since... well this Christmas I am lazy and just bought a digital frame that HE can load up with her pictures but if I get motivated I may do what I have been doing all along! He LOVES it and it is affordable and from the heart!
