Creative Photo Holiday Card Ideas??
I'm looking for a change from the typical, flat photo card for this year's holiday cards. It's the first year with our new little one, and I want something fun, creative and different. I've been looking at some options online, but would love to hear if you know of any other websites or local stores that could provide some neat ideas!

Hi N.!
First Christmas cards are so fun! We had our little angel last year for the first time and used Shutterfly.com to make our cards. I liked the options that they had... you can put text in the normal place in the card and also add a note to top or left flap, as you would if you putting in a note on the card (if that makes sense)... so you have the normal greeting and then a personal spot, too. I liked that. The cards were very nice looking.
This years, I found a site called PhotoWorks.com and used them to make a personalized calendar for my husband. They had great options that let you put more than one photo per month on the calendar. The calendar came out great - really good quality. I've already checked out out their card options for this year and they have some great, different options, like tri-fold cards and the ability to put photos on the inside on the cards, too.
Happy hunting...
P.

For the VIPs on your Christmas card list, you might like the Creative Memories Photo Sharing Card. It's an accordian fold card with each panel big enough to hold a 4X6 photo. We used these for my daughter's second Christmas and put about 10 photos on it as a sort of "year in review." I used basic scrapbooking supplies (die cuts, stickers, ABC stickers) to personalize them. Our parents LOVED it and my husband's grandmother wagged it around in her purse for months to show all her friends. You can probably see what one looks like at www.creativememories.com. I took a picture of one of the ones I made if you'd like to see that too.

Hi N.!
The first Christmas is soooo fun! This will be our second Christmas with our daughter. But on to your question...My husband and I have a laser engraving business and we can engrave photos onto wooden postcards that can be send in the mail...you just stick a stamp on them and that's it. You can engrave your little one's picture right on the card and then we engrave the addresses, etc. on the back side. I am in the process of designing this year's cards so they are not on our website yet...but send me an e-mail and I'd be happy to send you a couple of photos of samples. They remainder should be on the website by this weekend. My e-mail is ____@____.com and you can find us on the web at www.grantlaserdesigns.com for lots of other gift ideas. Good Luck & Enjoy the holidays with your little one!

Well I know you don't want to do a regular flat card but you can can always take a picture of your new baby with a digital camera then take it to CVS or Walmart and make Christmas cards with the picture. I believe they have it to where you can put borders. My sister did it a couple years ago and they turned out really cute.
