Contests?

I have entered some, passed on others.
It depends how difficult it is for my to actually enter and how great the prize is.
Also, I don't like putting a lot of information out there for folks to "market" things to me at future dates, so that could also be an issue.
The wild card here is how many dedicated blog followers do you have? If you have small following of mainly friends and family, they won't enter thinking they want to allow one of your other readers to win:)

I had never seen your blog before it was fun reading it. Thank you, I did give you a suggestion for a situation about the easter egg hunt. Couldn't figure out how to post my name so wanted you to go who I was in case you liked the idea enough for me to win lol.

I've been reading this book called Professional Blogging for Dummies, and she suggested a contest as a good idea to get people reading and commenting on your blog. I'm not an avid blog reader myself, but she recommended it, and it sounds fun, so why not? :-)

depends on the contest and the prize... there is one that I do enter but it is about something I actually care about.
