Christian Church in Round Rock/Georgetown Texas Area

Our family would love to start attending a Christian church in the Round Rock/Georgetown area but we are not really sure which churches to try. Ideally, we would like a church that has Friday night or Saturday night services as well as a great youth ministry and at-home groups. Also, it would be wonderful if the church was casual and friendly. It would nice to get together with other families and worship. Do you know of any churches like this?

What can I do next?

Hi J., I would like to invite you to St. Philips United Methodist Church in Round Rock we are located at 16321 Great Oaks Drive Round Rock in the Brushy Creek subdivision. We have two traditional services and our largest service is the contemporary service at 9:30am. We are not a particularly small Church but it feels that way, we have a very friendly relaxed atmosphere. On the first Sunday of every month we have a brunch that starts right after the 9:30 service. If you are a new visitor you and your family can eat for free.

Our pastor is Dr. Dale Schultz he is a gifted speaker who is very sinscere in his caring and compassion for his congrgation and community. The same is true for our other two assciate pastors; David McMinn is our youth pastor and the kids really love him. Please feel free to ocntact me with any questions, also we would be happy to meet you up at the Church and introduce you and show you around. I will include a link to our web site, they are in the process of giving it a complete make over so it is not fully fuctional yet. www.stphilipsumc.org

I second the suggestion of Hill Country Bible Church in Round Rock. We meet at the YMCA on I-35. Great family church. We found them after visiting a few in the area.

if you are looking for nondenominational........try Shoreline......

Hi J.! We dearly love our church family in Georgetown called Terranova. (www.tnova.org) We meet at City Lights movie theater on Sunday mornings ~ two worship services @ 8:45 and 10:15. These services have great programs for kids as well. The same service is held on Sunday evenings at the EV Free church (on Hwy 29, across the street from Southwestern) @ 7:30pm, but with no provisions for kids at that time. (Our church began as a ministry to college students.)

We highly encourage involvement in small groups during the week, and our youth ministry is one of the things we love the most (our oldest daughter is 14). Youth group meets on Sunday evenings @ 5:30pm and Wednesday evenings @ 6:00pm, also at the Evangelical Free Church on Hwy 29. Feel free to drop in and check it out any time!

If you prefer attending church in Round Rock, I would second the recommendation for Hill Country Bible Church North Round Rock ~ I attended other churches in the Hill Country family for most of my adult life, and feel confident that you will find solid Biblical teaching and warm fellowship there.

God bless you & guide you as you search!

It is between RR and G-town on County Rd 116 (Behind Premier Mazda @ Westinghouse and IH 35)

Hill Country Bible Church North Round Rock is great. You can look them up on line at www.hcbcnrr.com they have some great home groups. Pray and God will lead you to the church he wants you at.

Try Hill Country Bible Church---there are several in the area near you. The one in Plugerville, which is really close to most of Round Rock, is the largest of the three. But there is also one in RR, that meets at the YMCA right off of IH-35, one in Georgetown and a brand-new one that is in Wells Branch. Just look them up on the web - try www.hcbcpf.org - and you can link to the others from there. They are all similar to what you describe in your 'wish list'. I hope that one works for you and your family...and that you are welcomed with loving arms to worship with them. T.
