Ohhh, Crisco and Kool Aid, sounds like an interesting mix. The only problem with that is there is no sun protection in that. In fact, Crisco is very dangerous when mixed with the sun. Skin burns faster when mixed with those types of items.

I am a customer (a very satisfied customer) with a company that makes products that are all environmentally safe. They do have a chapstick that is outstanding. I love it. I order it often for me and my kids. They love it too. It has an SPF so it protects those lips from the harmful sun rays.

I would love to share it all with you since it sounds like you are one that appreciates safe products for your home.

My website is more for the business opportunity but one can simply be a customer and not do a business at all just wanting safer, cost effective products. They are not expensive at all and that's why I've been a loyal customer for a year. I love them so much, I tell everyone I know about the company

go to "get more info" and I'll personally call you. You don't have to worry about getting a million calls from many people. It would just be me and all I do is get you more information about the products. You will be thrilled at what's out there.

God bless!

I make bath and body products for a living. This is a real simple lip balm recipe.

1 teaspoon butter (mango/cocoa/or shea)
1/4 teaspoon jojoba oil
1 teaspoon beeswax
a few drops of flavor oil

melt wax and butter together, blend then add jojoba and flavor oil.

good luck

I heard to try vaseline and bubble gum, but I have never tried it. So good luck.

Here's one to try. I know it sounds weird, but spread some honey on the lips a few times a day, just a thin layer. The natural wax in it seals the lips, especially when they are cracked and sore from this crazy winter weather. I also have a slightly colored chapstick-like product I have available that I use like crazy. Check out www.deniseknick.unfranchise.com for the online catalog, and click on the 'm' for the Motives cosmetic line. They are called gloss pots.
Its also a good idea to put something on your lips at night after you wash your face. Then it has several hours to soak in and heal.
