My Mom and Grandma did it years ago. They did lose weight off it, but as with any fad diet, it came back. When you do one specific meal, as this one does, you crave more that you've been denying yourself. The key is to eat mini meals, with a variety of colors, in small protions. Go for a little walk at the end of the day to help you relax, drop the kids in a stroller or a bike cart and hit the sidewalks! If you want to read up on a healthier option (a weight-loss study was just done on this), LifeForce sells a three-product package called trimwise. It's all completely natural, no drugs or anything like that. Otherwise the product called Dream Away is a good option. I have friends who are taking it and liking it. The website is www.lifeforce.net/20718417. Good Luck with it all! J. Leifker

I had a colleague that tried this diet. I did not see her too much to see if there were any drastic results but I do remember her talking about the side effects: Be prepared to be in the restroom at hardly a moments notice. AND be prepared for the unpleasant gas. Remember, the cabbage soup diet is just that, vegetables and liquid.

ANY diet is the worst thing you can do for your body! Diet is a four letter word and worse than any curse word you can think of! At least in the sense of 'trying to lose weight'. A diet, in the true sense of the word, is the food you eat, what is needed to be healthy. I speak from not only personal experience but as a scientist. If you are attempting to lose weight, let me please tell you the way that is best/healthiest. I don't mean to sound preachy but I have been through every up and down yo yo you can imagine and I KNOW better!
1. Eat when you are hungry.
2. Eat what you want not what you think you should have.
3. Eat consciously. (This means slowly, without distractions, putting down your utensils or food between bites.)
4. Stop when you think you are full.
If you follow this you will see results quickly and healthily. This is how your body is meant to work, diets are not. This one you are talking about is a fad. Eating limited foods will start to injure your body. PLEASE don't do that to yourself. If you want more information feel free to contact me.
