Body Changing During and After Pregnancy...

Just curious how many of you changed chest size and shoe size after pregnancy? My mom and grandma say that their feet got bigger after they had their babies, both had 4 kids and went from a size 8 to a 10! People have also been telling me that they had a bigger chest and after having kids it basically shrunk up. With my first pregnancy my chest didn't really change size til my milk came in, with this one they have got bigger right when I got pregnant. Has this affected how any of you changed after? I know that there is nothing really that I can do about this, just curious.

What can I do next?

Everyone is different...I love reading all the responses! I've always been pretty flat chested...that didn't change (I was hoping to get a little bigger but didn't!). But I did have to go up 1/2 to 1 whole shoe size. And I'm the same weight as I was pre-pregnancy.

My boobs got a little bigger during pregnancy, but the real change was when my milk came in. I'm still nursing, so I don't know if they will get smaller when I wean or not, but I'm guessing not, since I'm large chested to begin with. My feet maybe grew a half a size. Obviously, the changes in your breast size go with the territory of motherhood, and their return to "normal," I think, depends on their composition. Some women have firm breast tissue, others more fatty, and so on. I would guess that those with firmer, perkier breasts to start with would have a better recovery after nursing, but each person is different and I really have nothing to base that on. As far as feet go, it is very normal for your feet to get bigger after pregnancy because the hormones that your body makes to loosen your hips up preparing for birth unfortunately doesn't discriminate between which ligaments are affected, and for some, the feet never completely recover.

My chest size didn't change, and my feet got bigger for a while, then went back to normal. The gift of pregnancy to my body? Migraines! AUGH.

my feet did grow - and I noticed it mostly after my daughter was born. my chest size got a little bigger, but I attribute that to all the weight I gained (and never really lost!)

Went from a 9 to a 9 1/2. No one told me about this. Had to find out for myself which sucked, cause I wasn't prepared. My boobs got bigger then went back down to a new normal size. By that I mean, they used to be pointy. Took em for granted. Now they have gone south after two kids and nursing. I don't mind. I perk em up with a push up : ) It's worth it since I have my kiddo's.

My shoe size shrunk from an 8 to a 7.5, not huge but still weird lol. My bra size went from a 34B to a 36C, but I think that might have been because I never did lose those last 10 lbs...I'm 9 months preggo now and my 36C bras aren't fitting, so I think I went up but we'll see if I stay there.

Bra size went from 36A to 36C to 38D to a 40D nursing bra, then to a 36B (yay!)
Shoes stayed a size 7
Weight is exactly what it was pre-baby

My shoe size stayed the same but widened a size to make it a medium half width not a b or a c but somewhere in between. The breast size increased a cup for breastfeeding. After the weaning they went down but came back to size and firmed up.

As others have said it is part of motherhood. I got cleavage after nursing so that was good.

Oh my goodnesss....yes...lots of changes! My shoe size went up. I used to wear Dansko (European sizes) went from size 39 to a size 42!!! Also I was a size 38 DDD bra size....went up to....you might want to sit down....44H! i breast fed for 9 months. it is horrible! i plan to get a breast reduction in 2013 if i can afford it! i had my son almost 4 years ago. my body has NEVER been the same. another reason we are only having one child! i also cannot stand any jewlery except my wedding ring and sometimes a watch. necklaces feel like they are choking me and earrings BURN so bad i can't stand it!

crazy how everyone has a different story!

then of course...the new pains too.....knee pain, foot pain, low back pain.

I went from a 5 1/2 shoe to a 6 1/2 shoe. I went from a 34A to a 36C...I am 4 yrs post nursing and am positive that my new shoe size and rack are permanent. I am delighted with both. I have friends who "shrunk" in the cleavage category -- They compare it to tube socks with oranges at the bottom -- But they started with a bigger chest than me. So they got to coast thru their teens and 20s without agonizing about a flat chest (this was soooo painful for me) only to play the price in their 30s-40s.

Our course, 10 yrs ago when I had my 1st I was 105 and now I am 115 and maybe THAT is what is increasing my bra size.

No. Nothing with me ever changed. My chest size never got bigger or smaller, feet were the same, everything the same. I had the baby and was me again. Sometimes, I completely forget I was ever pregnant.

Pre-babies my chest was about a 36C or D...I was very happy. After babies they shrunk to a about a 34B and I'm most definitely NOT pleased...totally changed from what they used to look like. If I could afford an enhancement I would go for it.
My shoe size is the same at an 8, my weight is happily down to lower than what I was pre-pregnancies (thanks to a strict exercise routine I've stuck to for the past couple of years.)
