I am opening an in-home daycare. I don't want to quit my job until I can get my daycare up and running. I would like to know the best place to adverise my services and how to get the word out.

What can I do next?

You might also try Craigslist--listings are free, and that's how we found the in-home daycare we use!

To open an in-home daycare, the State of Texas requires you take an orientation class with the state to be "listed" or "registered", as well as a First Aid/CPR class and undergo a background check. Once completed, the State will put you on their website, which is where people will see you. It's against the law to operate an in-home daycare without going through them.
Good luck!

Why don't you advertise on mamasource? I am trying to get a bakery business up and running and have gotten many hits on my website through mamasource. It's a great way to advertise. Also, check out www.freewebs.com you can set up your own website for free and it's very easy. If I can do it anyone can!! Good luck with your endeavors! M.
