Help Trying to Find a Child to Watch in My Home.

In Illinois you can care for up to three children including your own without a license. Advertising on care.com, craigslist, and sittercity as a home daycare always works for me. You could also answer ads for nannies via email and offer care I'm your home. I have also had success doing this. Other places to advertise are libraries and churches in your area.

You will be listed with CCR&R if you are licensed. People who are looking for a home daycare in your area will be given your information.

You need to check into the laws in your state regarding in-home childcare. In Kansas you cannot watch a child unrelated to you without being licensed.

You can advertise on Craigslist, but be very cautious. You can spread the word through your Facebook account. There are web-sites that you might be able to list with, Daycare Bear is the only one that comes to mind right now.

Word of mouth is probably your best bet right now, tell everyone you know what your plans are.

Word of mouth. People watch a kid all the time without a license really. If you wanted to watch several, that would be different.

Besides advertising on Craigs list you can put an ad in the local paper. Also let everyone you know know about it. Put up ads at the laundry mat and your church or anywhere they have a bulletin board.
