My advice to you is ask a Doctor they will know better then a pharmacy & you can even check with a free clinic for parenting thats what my Daughter did, but I think you need to ask a Doctor Iam sure there is one were you live that could tell you for sure enstead of wondering ok.

Hi J.J.

I do know that it's possible to get pregnant on depo. I mostly just wanted to let you know that if you need a cheap pregnancy test the Dollar Tree sells them for $1. I have found them to be pretty accurate and they have always showed results even as early as 11 days past conception for me. If you're that early though you might get a really light line.
Hope it helps! If you find out you are pregnant and just need someone to talk to or help you work through anything please feel free to contact me!

OH BOY do I know what you mean ( about not a good time) . AND my family ''' history ''' is full of individuals who came at REALLY bad times - and turned out to be the MOST charming, delightful people-. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the perfect answer - is the answer you get.

Blessings
( there was my youngest uncle-- whose pregnancy prevented my brilliant grandmother from passing the bar exam - she was going to join her husbands' law -practice- as he was a fine lawyer but a lousy businessman- and during the depression would tear up and throw away bills ''' well, Birdie- they said they couldn't pay''' --- just before she was to sit for the exam--- she discovered she was pregnant- with a 5 year old, a 10 year old and a 12 year old- . That finished her plans - as there was NO money to hire a baby nurse ( this was the 1930s-there were no day-cares) - so her plans went down the tubes- but oh my life would have been so much poorer without Unc' --- )

I am also on Depo and I was thinking the same thing. I've been sick with an infection. The doctor gave me an antibiotic. I am not sure what is going on with me, but I can't eat and I am so nauseous.

I always thought the antibiotics does interfere with birthcontrol effectiveness, so take your test to be sure!

I've definitely heard that certain antibiotics can compromise the potency of many forms of birth control. One of my best friends got pregnant while on the pill (and she was very scheduled about taking it and all that) when she was also taking antibiotics for sinus problems. I used to be on depo and if I recall correctly, the pill and depo release the same hormone in your body to stop pregnancy from happening. So I think it's certainly possible. If you have insurance and no co-pay or if your co-pay is less than a test, I suggest having the test done at your doctors office. It'll save you from having to double check later if the test comes up positive anyway.

Good luck!

I have never used depo but have a friend who has a beautiful, almost 10 year old now who was conceived while she was on depo. There are inexpensive brand pregnancy tests you can buy over the counter to check it out before going to the doctor. The store brands (K-mart, Wal-mart, Rite-Aid, Dollar Store) are pretty good if you really think you are. Worth the couple of bucks to find out so you can find out what your next medical care step should be.
Good Luck,
T.
