Hey guys! I need some advice here. I've been on the pill for about 2 years now, but I quit recently because it was giving me a few health complications. I quit a month ago, and during that time my husband and I had unprotected sex several times. My period should have come 3 days ago, but still nothing. I got sick about 2 weeks ago with what I thought was food poisoning, but now I'm starting to wonder. Smells are also killing me. I'm having ocasional cramps that last maybe 5 min, the kind of cramps that make you thing your period is comming RIGHT NOW, but still nothing. I'm dying to go take a pregnancy test, but I'm not sure if I'm just overreacting and if it's too early. Any advice?

I feel badly for you. You've come to the wrong site to ask such a question. You're new here, so what you don't know is that the dreaded "Could I be pregnant?" question is a sore spot for most of us. WE DON'T KNOW if you are or are not pregnant. Yes the possibility is there, but we don't know if you are or are not. Go get a test.

Advice? Get a test. We are not medical dr. And I don't have a crystal ball. You are 3 days late a test will show if you are or not. As you can tell these questions drive most on here crazy because you asking something we can't really answer. Yes you could be or no your not. Only a test will tell!

Go to the dollar store and buy some pregnancy tests. Use it with first morning's urine. Take the test. If it's negative, do it again in a week. Meanwhile, start taking pregnancy vitamins so that you have folic acid to prevent neural tube defects like spina bifida and some forms of cleft palate. If it turns out that you aren't pregnant, the vitamins will still be good for you.
Look, the reason you are writing here is because you don't want to be pregnant. You hope we'll tell you no. If you have sex, then you could be pregnant. Time to find out.

Norovirus is going around. Dollar Tree prego test kits are a dollar and they do work. What I'm saying is that there are a zillion variables; only a test can give you the answer you seek.

If you're past due on your period, go ahead and take the test. At the very least, you'll have an answer.
As for answering whether it's possible to get pregnant RIGHT after getting off of birth control... ABSOLUTELY. First month I was off the first time around I got pregnant with our first daughter. Literally stopped taking the pills at the end of one cycle then never got another period.

If you have unprotected sex, yes, it's possible you could be pregnant.
Go to the dollar store and buy some tests. Take one first thing tomorrow morning when your HgH's are the highest.
Your body could be adjusting to getting off the pill as well. did you talk with your doctor before you got off the pill? Did they tell you what to expect over the next few months as the artificial hormones get out of your system and your body starts working on its own again?

Your question screams PREGNANT! I would take a test tomorrow. If its still negative, wait two weeks and then repeat the test.

It's pretty likely. You had unprotected sex several times right after getting off the pill. You are extremely fertile when you first go off the pill. You are also more likely to get pregnant with twins when you first go off the pill :)
