Any Experience with Any of These Auto Body Repair Shops?

So What Happened?

We took our vehicle to the Grubbs Nissan Chrysler Jeep Collision Center in Bedford. I spoke with the service advisor Ann Jordan and before bringing in the vehicle, she was very nice, helpful and accommodating. When we got there, Ms. Jordan was gone but had all of our paperwork ready. Another guy helped us, but when he asked me to sign a note that said that if the repair time estimate takes longer than expected, we would be required to pay the extra time on the rental car. I told him that was completely contrary to what I was told by the insurance company that had stated that one of the benefits of using vendors on their approved list was that the shop agreed to cover the rental car if their time estimates were delayed. The guy then stated "Well, that's our policy. You are welcome to go to another repair shop if you want." In hindsight, that's what I should have done. The insurance company decided our vehicle was a total loss unfortunately. When we went back to Grubbs to get our belongings out of the vehicle, Ms. Jordan was not so nice. I asked for copies of the paper work in our file and she refused stating those were Grubbs property and they didn't have to give us copies. I asked just for a copy of the estimate of repair and she refused to give us that as well. They made me sign a paper stating the vehicle was a total loss and that I was releasing it to the insurance company, which I expected, but she even balked when I asked for a copy of that document. I didn't leave without a copy of that though although I had to remind them twice. In the end, I would not recommend Grubbs Collision Center based on this experience. Live and learn, right? :-)
