Air Conditioning Going Out on Car Need Honest Repair Place in Carrollton Area

I have a Jeep Liberty and my air conditioning has been trying to go out for the last week. Since I have 2 kids and it's hot, I need to get it repaired ASAP. Can anyone recommend an honest repair shop in the Carrollton area.
Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi S.,
I too had a compressor go out in my Toyota van. I was nervous about AC repair with high cost and getting poor service. I looked around and found a GREAT place. I'm sorry it's not in Carrollton but in Garland. They have great reviews on service and cost. They treated (very personable) us very well. My van was done in the time promised (one day) and the cost was very reasonable.

First, get three proposals from three auto repair places. (Do not include Walmart in that group as many people tell me that their people are not trained well at all.)

Maybe it is only in need of freon!!! I

don't live in that area now, but I do remember using Christian Brothers Automotive ###-###-#### and being very impressed. Some other repair center was trying to take advantage of me and they did not. I saved a lot of money.

I've not personally used them but a good friend of mine swears by this group...they are Old Downtown Automotive in Downtown Carrollton. He says that this place is extremely honest and fair on pricing. I plan on using them after my warranty goes on my car.

I've used Brakes Plus (they do all kinds of repairs) and have been really pleased with their work and price. They are located at 1961 E Frankford (1 Block East of Josey) and their number is ###-###-####. Best of luck!

Hi S.,

I have a Jeep Liberty too and my AC is doing the same thing. I hope you get some good advice. I need HELP too!!

Try Boones A/C service and ask for Cody. He is a good guy to work for ya. He will be up front and honest with you.

When our previous cars (Jeep Cherokee and Honda Civic) were out of warranty, we always took them to Tim's Auto Repair in Carrollton (near Addison airport) for repairs. We always felt they were honest and reasonable. Good luck! http://www.timsautomotiverepair.com/index.php?mod=

We used to live at Frankford & the Tollway and went to the Christian Brothers Automotive there (it's at Rosemeade & the Tollway). They did a good job for all our repairs and they will probably shuttle you & the kids to/from the repair shop (in your car) if you're within a certain radius. The only downside is that they are only open M-F.
