Still Looking for Good Car Repair Place

Okay, I've asked this before, but my dad just showed me that AAA rates auto repair shops. The closest shop on AAA's site is King's Automotive North, on 95th. Has anyone ever used them? I've had reviews of 2 other shops that are fairly near, but neither of those is rated by AAA--I'm sorry to keep asking this question, but I'm just so nervous about finding a good repair shop! I've been burned by so many mechanics over the years, it's hard to feel good about taking my cars in--and they BOTH need major work just as soon as my school $ comes in next month! Thank you all!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

The van's brakes started squeaking, so I figured I'd better make the long trek up to Leavenworth to Butler's, since they've been doing the brakes all along on this car (and they're lifetime guaranteed, so if there's a problem with the shoes or drums, I don't pay for that part!). That's when I found out Butler is now a full-service repair place, so as much as I don't like the drive, we may just take the cars up to Butler for a while. It's a long drive, but we really trust the guys there!

If you have a Honda the absolute best place to go is Otto Service on Blue Ridge about 95th street. We had a couple of Honda's a couple of years back and took them there, he was always very reasonable, one time he even salvaged parts from a car he had at the shop and only charged us $35 for what we thought was going to be a very expensive repair (someone tried to steal it while downtown). We were very sorry that they don't work on anything but Honda's!
My daughter takes everything to Perfection Connection on 291 South in Lee's Summit, they have been extremely satisfied with all the work done on their cars.

Check out Auto Doctors off of College and Quivera. They are a mom-pop operation, and I find them to be very honest. Ask for Julie, the owner (nice to see a woman in the field) and tell her that A. sent you!

E.,

I totally understand how stressful it is to take your car in for repairs. A good friend of mine owns a repair shop at 635 and Mission, Burch Auto, and I absolutely trust him to do any repairs I might need. Here is a link to Bob's website - http://burchauto.com/home. Good luck with your repairs.

And congrats on the pregnancy.

a great body repair shop is in downtown Overland Park. It is on that side street by the chinese restaurant & across from the food prep place. They would be able to tell you of a good repair shop as they are very honest & fair.

I love Anderson Automotive Out by 151st/Keeler in Olathe. This is the first place I have ever felt comfortable taking the car myself instead of letting my husband do it. A couple run it and both husband and wife are mechanics and I never feel like I have to second guess their suggestions and I have always been satisfied with the service.

My in-laws used them for years before I married into the family, so we have at least two generations of satisfied customers.

I've used the King's on 95th a few times and have no complaints. I usually go to Eilenberger's on 77th and Metcalf, though, and they are great!

Bailey's in Olathe ###-###-####. Hands down!

A friend of mine had a terrible experience at the King on 151st. My husband takes our cars to Roe Body. He feels they are very honest and reasonable.

I've used King's and they were okay, but nothing to write home about! I went there b/c a friend of mine really liked them, but I also heard from another person that they weren't that great...so??? If that's the closest/easiest place give them a try, but you might be better off choosing from one of the glowing recommendations you got below.
