Are there any other adoptive moms here? My son is 10-months old. Just looking for any other moms that have adopted.
Thanks! :)

My husband and I are in the process of adopting Raekwon, a 3 year old boy from San Francisco. He moved in to our home in January, 2008, and so far we are having a lot of fun. He is a sweet and happy boy.

Hi. We adopted our son at birth too, brought him home from the hospital when he was 2 days old. He's going to be 9 in May. It has been incredibly wonderful for us. What sort of things would you like to talk about?

Nope. I am waiting for my 2 and a half year old's birth parents to appeal the recent decision to terminate parental rights. She came ot me two months ago from the county CPS system. I'm single full time working mom.

Hi K.,
My name is M. Gustavson and I also adopted a baby domestically in July 2006. I know how that it feels a little bit different to have adopted as opposed to haven given birth. I too am loving every moment of finally becoming a mom. It took us 3-1/2 years to finally get our daughter and it took about six years of trying including in vitro, artificial insemination, and adoption. I am very lucky in that I have met a few other moms nearby who have also adopted. I would love to talk more with you if you're interested. You can e-mail me at ____@____.com or call me at ###-###-####.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Warm Regards,
M.

We adopted our son over 13 years ago. I still remember it. It was the most wonderful thing that has happened in our life. He has turned out to be the most loving, caring and sweet child (almost man). We have been open and honest with him since he was old enough to understand that he was adopted. He asked questions throughout the years, sometimes when I didn't expect them, but we always answered him.
Congratulations and let me know if there is anything I can answer for you.
