Adult-Sleeping Disorder
I have a friend whom has a problem with her sleeping. She explains that at night it is hard for her to sleep. Her eyes would be closed, but the rest is not there. And when she finally sleeps, it is about 4:00 in the morning. Then has to wake up for work, by 6:30am. What could she do to help her sleep? What causes this sleeping disorders?

Frances, since you live on island, going to the beaches and parks are always a fun thing to do on Guam, and it doesn't cost anything.. just alot of love and time.
And.. a new thing that we just started with our 6 yr old boy... join the Boy Scouts. Joanie

Sports are a great outlet for children! Not only do they get to burn out some of their excess energy but they learn valuable life lessons like teamwork and good sportsmanship. My son has been playing baseball for 3 years and he loves it. I know they're not accepting anymore players for this season because we already started but you could check next season. The good thing about it is all your children can play. They start as early as 6 and go all the way up to 16. Or if they're not interested in baseball, there's also soccer and basketball. A good place to check would be the mayor's office. They have information on all sorts of youth activities. Good Luck!

I have three children of my own with the youngest at age 4.
I took them to the kite show at the Asan park and this was the first time the kids had so much fun outdoors. Maybe kite flying might be an option for you.. Enjoy the sun.. God Bless!

I know what you mean F.. It's hard trying to keep our kids from getting bored. My kids always look forward to going to our church's bible study (kids ministry)every Wed and Fri. We try to get there 30 min to 1 hr in advance and also after the study so they can play with the other kids. It's a positive environment for my kids to be and I'm glad they are loving it. Other than kids ministry, I take them to the park where they can use their hillies or do other fun stuff at the playground.
Bless you for being a caring mother.

Here are some tips that may help. I know it has been said that before you get to bed and even through the course of your day, there are some things to do to get the quality sleep that some of us lack. I had found a website chock full of tips too many to mention so hopefully she can access this website. Tell me how it goes. Just type this in the internet.
A friend of mine also had a hard time being restful at night and I know she takes melatonin, but with anything please have her check with her doctor.
