My daughter wants to have a "girly" birthday party for her 8th birthday this year, somewhere like Libby Lou's used to be. Does anyone have any suggestions for a place in the south or west suburbs? Or any other suggestions at this point? In the past we've had parties at USA Roller Skating, GymQuest, American Gymnastics, and Pump It Up.

Thanks for any suggestions! :)

There is a place called Sweet & Sassy and is in Chicago and Oak Brook.

"Chicago Parent" magazine has a coupon for $25 off a party there (http://chicagoparent.com/resources/birthday-parties/party...)

Hope your Daughter has an awesome party where ever you go! :o)

Not sure what Libby Lou's is but if you want to go really girly you should check into Boozle B's in Plainfield. We were just there getting a haircut for my daughter and there was a dress up & spa party going on that looked pretty cute! Don't know all of the details but the group there was probably 7 or 8 and there were very girly things going on! Hope this helps!!

There is a place in Frankfort called Polka Dots and Ponytails. My daughter just had her 8th Birthday there a few weeks ago. They have a few different parties that you can do, but we did the spa package. The girls got their nails painted and facials. It was really fun!

Four years ago my daughter's Brownie troop went to a tea room in Frankfort, IL. It was in an area where there were lots of cute little shops and one of the places (I can't remember the name) hosted birthday parties for girls. They had lots of different themes/options ranging from princess, make-up, hip hop dancing, etc. I was not familiar with the area before taking her to the tea room so I'm not even really sure if it was considered downtown Frankfort. You could probably find more information online. I also have a friend who took her daughter & a few friends to an actual salon/spa once - they did their nails, put up their hair & a little lip gloss & blush. That may be expensive though & there was no room, etc. provided for cake, present opening or anything like that. Another option may be to find a representative from Mary Kay or something like that who could come to your house. Good Luck & have fun!

There is a place in Geneva called "It's a girl thing" really cute. I took my granddaughter there for her 8th birthday. We just did a little mini thing for her and her best friend but they have birthday party packages starting at I think about $10 per kid. they do stuff like nails, makeup hair, learn a song and dance very similar to libby lous. my grand daughter loved it.

Sweet and Sassy is a great place. They do individual services or party packages. Ask for Taryn...she is AWESOME!
