I just recently noticed over the last month my son's feet turning bluish in certain positions and his hands too when he is doing different things too! Since he was born he always had cold feet & hands and when he was first born if I haeld him too long his legs would turn bluish-purple. Not completely concerned that it is a medical condition but just curious if anyone else has had the same issue. I am curious what you were told.
Thanks.

Hello, My son had that problem with his left arm and leg. We had an EKG done when he was 6 months old and it came back normal, the Dr. Said he just had an immature Circulatory system. It stopped a few months later. I recommend having it looked into, we were relieved to know for sure everything was ok. God bless, S..

Have the doctor listen for a heart murmur which may indicate that the septum between the two ventricles is not completely closed. Sometimes it needs intervention to do this, usually does right after birth. My middle son was like this. God's blessing on your little one.

Hi D.- It is definitely worth a trip to the pediatrician to describe your experiences with your son. He may recommend you see a pediatric cardiologist to have some tests done of your babies heart/circulatory system. Hopefully it is all fine, but you should go get some reasurrance!! Good Luck!

I too strongly recommend a trip to the cardiologist to rule out any cardiac/circulatory problems. An ultrasound/x-ray of the lungs may be daone as well to complete the proper examination for reassurence. If the pediatrician continues to brush your complaints off make sure you get a second maybe even third opinion. Sometimes even the smartest and highly experienced doctors can miss something! Don't mean to scare you but speaking as a mother and RN married to a physician I would thoroughly look into these concerns if this was my child. Good Luck to you and good health to the little one.
