I was wondering if the doctor does blood work for a 5 year old check up? and what does the visit consist of?

What can I do next?

I don't remember there being any blood draw, but I think there was a shot. It's been a few years!

Usually that's when they do the Kindergarten physical. At my office, we do height, weight, blood pressure, vision, hearing test, BMI, and urinalysis. Then they get the immunizations they need for school, including a TB test, and a blood test to check for anemia, and lead level.

my girl's was a general physical, hearing test. eye exam.
they said we were due for one of the shots -HepA I think? but it was optional and I declined since I had told her no shots. We didn't have blood work done.
our pediatrician filled out the paperwork for Kindergarten so we didn't have to come back before registration.
