Living with a Milk Protein Allergy

My son was officially diagnosed with a milk protein allergy last friday (after beign suspicious for months). He is 14 months old and has been doing very well with soy as a replacement. We have been reading lables and know what to strictly avoid, we were given an epipen jr., and were told to also avoid peanuts until age three. How do you all of you parents with food allergic children do it? Are there any suggestions to make this easier for both parents and child? Weening off Nutramigen

I have a 4 month old who has been on Nutramigen since he was 2 months because of bad reflux. He's not lactose intolerant; he just had some gastro issues to work through. I've been told by the doctor that we could start weening him off it around now (it's killing our pocket book)! Has anyone had any experience/advice doing this?
