I have a 6 month old daughter. In the last week she has just stopped eating for me. She eats at the nursery and a good bit; but when I try to feed her at home for dinner she doesn't want any. I thought maybe it was just she wasn't hungry for dinner. But this weekend wouldn't eat for me. What am I doing. She is teething can that be it but why eat for the nursery and not me?
Thing is she ate great up until about week ago.
They stop eating when they teeth frequently. Give it time, it will pass.
It could be that she's simply not hungry. Children will not starve themselves and they WILL eat IF & WHEN they're hungry. Perhaps it is the way they're offering her the food?
A child doesn't eat FOR the parent or FOR the nursery.
A child eats because she is hungry or the food looks and smells good.
She may have some discomfort with teething.
She may not like what you are offering.
Try not to see this as something she is doing FOR you.
Offer food or bottle or whatever and see what she does FOR herself.

Sometimes we think more is better.
Maybe not so much.
Keep in mind her stomach is the size of her fist.
Your stomach is the size of your fist.
Right?
So, how much food can we put into that itty-bitty stomach?
Teething does change things a bit. Just keep with it. I'd try only the bottle or nursing till things get better.
could be a difference in the way the food tastes and she just doesn't like how you're making it, as the nursery for recepies they are using and follow their recipe, see how that works
May depend on what you're feeding her (try what they feed her), when they last fed her and when you're feeding her dinner.
If she's not eating from lunchtime on, then I'd say that's a problem.
Does she not eat well on the weekends too?
At 6 mos old I don't think MOST kids eat much. Bottles/nursing yes, but food, not so much.
As long as she's wetting her diapers, and not crazy fussy I'd try not to worry.
Maybe when you are there... she wants to nurse.
For the 1st year of life, breastmilk/Formula is a baby's primary source of nutrition... not solids and not other liquids, and to feed/nurse on demand.
