Our daughter is going to be baptised in Aug/Sept and we are looking for a restraunt that can handle around 30 people in a private or semi-private room. Many I've found require 50 people or more. The church is in Troy so we don't want to travel too far from that location. Any thoughts?

What can I do next?

We used The Masters on 13 Mile Rd., between Dequindre and Ryan. There is a room there, if it's not already booked. They can also have a set menu for you to be able to control the costs. They can furnish you a cake. I don't remember the cost on the cake, but it was wonderful.

Good Luck,

C.

We have been to 2 events like this - about your size too - at Papa Vino's at Coolidge and Maple in Troy. They have an abbreviated menu and our friends who have hosted it have said it was pretty affordable.
Good luck!

I work at Andiamo in Livonia. We may be a bit far for you, but we have several locations on the east side, and are happy to accomodate any size group. The food is excellent as is the service. Try our location in Rochester, or in Warren.

We had our baptism in Troy and our baptism luncheon at Picano's on Rochester Rd. Very good food and good price - we had just under 30 people and a private room. Another option is McCormick and Schmick's or Maggiano's, but they are a bit more expensive - they will both accomodate parties of 30 in a private room.

How bout a buffet style type place? Usually they have an area that is a little more closed off.

Is there a room in the church? You could decorate it and have a catering company.

Roger's Roost does many semi-private parties. I am sure they would be glad to handle this occasion and they are also very reasonable too! Many differnt menu choices.
They are located North of 14 Mile Road on Schoenherr.

The San Marino Club on Big Beaver between John R & Rochester Road has their new restaurant open in now. It's called Tre Monti. It's really beautiful and the food is wonderful and they have different rooms for parties. We are members and go regularly. They have been getting great reviews in the Det News, etc.
