Some type of ride-on toy. We had a winnie the pooh one that had a little bar at the back, so that she could push is around when she wasn't riding it on it. It had a few buttons to push with lights & music. She loved it. Her cousin is now enjoying it as well. Here's something similar: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3230458.

Hope this helps.

We got dd a push toy to help her learn to walk. This would be a good time to start a tradition with a keepsake like precious moments figures or a charm on a bracelet. I wish I would have done that. Good luck! Also, a baby stroller is always a favorite with kiddos.

We plan on getting the riding horse that connects to your TV with learning games. It is suppose to grow with your child until about 3. I also agree with anything Little People. For my nephew we bought him a 3-1 bike. At first is is a rocker and then it transforms into a push bike and then ultimately you take the push handle off and it is a regular bike. He used it until he was 3 and got a real bike. We will probably get my daughter that as well.

Learning toys. Target has some great ones from lacing big blocks, stacking blocks and more. Books are great too. If her ears are pierced some earrings would be a cute idea. When Bella, (our daughter), turned 1 we got her some baby diamond earrings at Zales. They have the screw-on safety back so she cant lose them..

When Aubrey was turning one, she already had so much stuff. I got her mainly clothes and a few fisher price toys like stacking cups, shape sorter, you know, classic toys. At that age they don't care so much about presents, so I say just get her what she needs.
Also, when mine was 14 months old we got her the fisher price little house. She still plays with it every day and she just turned 2. It's on sale at Toys R Us for $70 right now.

Hi E.,

You know that all kids love music. How about a personalized music cd. Check out www.kiddosdelight.com.

Good luck.

My husband and I got our DD the Fisher Price grow with me kitchen in October for her first birthday. We showed her that before her other gifts and couldn't pull her away long enough to open the other gifts. She still plays with it most of the day everyday. We found a brand new one on eBay for a little less than Toys 'R' Us was selling theirs. The other gift she still plays with often is the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Purse. There are several items that come with the purse that she enjoys playing pretend with. Her favorite is the bracelet. Good luck and happy shopping!!! :)

We bought a wagon for our daughter. We haven't used it a whole lot, but I know we will! A toy kitchen is a great idea too.

I always get Lego duplo blocks for a 1 year old.
We gave them to my daughter on her 1st
birthday, and she loved it.

She's not going to remember, so really the gift would be more for show I guess. What would you get her ordinarily or what does she need? Books are always good too. Good luck and happy birthday to your little girl.
