Well for me had 1 in hospital high fever recovered. Now 2 weeks later vomiting, loose stools runny nose, fussy seen Dr. it to shall pass nothing serious.Last night 2 kids vomited now they are fine.Been home all week other than well child visit.I have cleaned and recleaned everything we touch and don't touch/The windows get opened daily for a period of time.Doing laundry then going to clean all the toys again.I know what i'm dealing with is easy compared to alot of other sicknesses going around but it's time for a break from all of this. Were generally a sick free family I get the headcolds from time to time others don't.

What can I do next?

Piggietoes-- I am so sorry! It seems that with multiple kids, if one gets it, they all get it,huh? And the endless cleaning.... I hope you get a break in the next few days.

Does Grumpyitis count as illness? My son is suffering severely this morning. Oh--gotta go-- another attack happening.

Nothing. My kids are 13 and 17. They don't get sick. The 17 has not been for a sick visit other than one case of pinkeye and a case of poison ivy (that I mistakenly thought was chicken pox) since before kindergarten. She has not missed a sick day from school since 4th grade. In 4 years of middle school, my younger one has been absent maybe 4-5 days.

My younger son has had a cold for the past few weeks, but it is pretty mild. My husband was sick with a very bad cold over the Christmas holidays. He went to the doctor the day before he went back to work and had an ear infection. He has done two courses of antibiotics and steroids and his ear is still full of fluid. The doctor has referred him to an ENT, and thinks he will need tubes in his ears.

Oh wow, hope things get better soon! My husband had the parva-virus, some kind of nasty respiratory infection. Lasted two weeks, he was miserable. So far daughter and I have escaped everything, but we are so tired of disinfecting this house!

Everyone we know has had something going on, lots of nasty stomach bugs. So you are certainly not alone in the pukey trenches. Hope things look up soon!!

We went through the stomach virus thing with hubby and kids about 2 weeks ago. Now both kids have had the flu all week. They are finally getting better but now one kid has a UTI. (Long history there.) I'm tired of everyone being sick ! So far - knock on wood - I have missed it all.

We are right there with you. Let's see.....let me look in my engr book....
I have two boys.....5yrs (Jojo) and 7yrs (AT). AT has asthma seasonal allergies and Jojo has eczema and seasonal allergies. We did great all summer. Then at the end of Oct, our sickness journey began.

10/25 - AT with asthmatic bronchitis
12/19 - AT with sever nasal congestion. puking up mucus several times.
12/29 - Jojo with ear infection, sinus infection, early stages of pneumonia. more puking up mucus.
1/7 - I got the flu
1/17 - AT with pneumonia. and....puking up mucus....just cleaned up vomit about 2 hours ago.

We have never had pneumonia before. And I've never had the flu. Something is different this year.

Keep well,
A.

I'm still recovering from the bronchitis I had a week ago. The cough is lingering and it's still hard to breathe. It's making my Chronic Fatigue kick in at the end of my work day, and so by the time the weekend comes I'm just wrecked. The daughter that also had bronchitis is pretty much back to normal with the stray cough once a day, if that. Otherwise, we're good. It's just me. My husband had a bad cold for three days, took Advil Cold & Sinus and said it worked like magic (he never takes meds) and then he was done.

We've been making sure to air out the house with fresh air as often as possible even though it's cold out. The more we can flush out the germs the less likely we'll be to have sick building syndrome. I can't afford to be sick all the time.

we are all currently healthy, thank goodness! Over winter break though my daughter and I both had strep. My son had a nasty cold that turned into a severe sinus infection and my husband never got sick (lucky him, lol!). For now and hopefully for a long time we are all doing good. Hope you guys feel better soon!
