My son has had this weird rash since yesterday. He gets a couple of blistery looking bumps in one area on his body and then after a few minutes it goes away, but then it reappears somewhere else on his body a few minutes later. He isn't sick, and has been happy. He didn't go swimming, and hasn't been around anything new. I'm confused. And now I just went in to check on him and the side of his cheek is red and rashy. Oh, and he hasn't been scratching too much that I've seen.

What can I do next?

It could be the laundry detergent you use? There are a lot of harsh chemicals in the eveyday grocery store brands (even the ones that say tehy are for sensitve skins). I use the Melaleuca brand of basically everything in my house - the laundry detergent is wonderful. I'd be happy to hook you up with some, if you'd like. Just let me know. Good luck!

My son recently went thru something similar and it was the soap that we had switched to. However, when I was doing my research (online) everything that I read about hives, which WAS our issue, stated that when it is hives they generally do not appear on the face/head area. I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule but the articles that I read all seemed consistent on that. Good Luck and I hope your son gets well soon!

Hmmm, never heard of this honestly. Try to google "rashes" or "rash" and see if any pictures on a websites match what his looks like. Is it itchy to him?

THe bright red on the face can indicate parvovirus, which really should be treated. A blood test might be a good idea. Generally a blister or eruption is the body trying to get rid of something. If you go for the herbal route, turmeric, dandelion root or such cleansers might help. Oregano oil, olive leaf and grapefruit seed extract are some potent antivirals.

Best wishes and blessings

One of the little boys I baby sit had something like that. You could literally watch the rash fade in and and out and it would appear in different areas of his body. I first noticed it a morning they dropped him off--I was changing his diaper and he was COVERED in this horrible rash. I called his mom at work and while I was on the phone with her, it faded almost out of sight. Then 15 mins later this rash was all over his face and neck, and then would go away. I called his mom again, and she took him to the dr.--turns out that certain viral infections can do that and there's really nothing you can do except let it run its course. If this continues, I'd have him looked at by the ER if necessary.

Melescum ? google it. My kids had it......it is not any fun at all, it is hard to get rid of and it does not hurt them at all. Just a pain to run its coarse.
Heat rash too........sounds like it.

My daughter will do this occasionally too. The doc said it's her response to a viral infetion and it just needed to run it's course. She was fine but it's sure scary watching those ugly hives pop up!
