I am planning a family vacation to Monterey with my husband and 19 month old son. I plan on going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but would love other tips or ideas of things to do in Monterey with a toddler.

What can I do next?

Theres a park on pearl street called the dennis the menace park. you can google it to get directions and see if its something your daughter would enjoy. We took our son there a long time ago when we went to the aquarium and he had a blast, but he was around 4 at the time. have fun!!

There is a park in Pacific Grove (right next to Monterey) that attracts lots of butterflies each year, starting in October. Do a Google search for Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary Pacific Grove and you can find all of the details.

Hi K.,
A few other fun places to go are the MY Museum, which is very interactive, and Dennis the Menace Park, which is next to a lake with paddle boating. Have fun!

There is a children's museum there that is supposed to be awesome and really age appropriate for toddlers and young kids. I don't know the name but if you google children's museums in Monterey it'll come up.
