Mesa Parks and Rec offers a really fun class for toddlers (18 - 38 mon) called Play Along Pals. This is my favorite. You stay with your child and sing songs, do age appropriate learning activites & a craft and then end with a short play time for moms and kids to interact. There different themes for about a year before repeating. The class & the teacher are just great. My kids have LOVED it over the years. Register @ http://www.mesaaz.gov/parksrec/RMMC/programsclasses.aspx. It usually start at the beginning of Sept & again Jan? and June? Limited space.

I signed up for the Harkins Summer Movie Fun. It's 10 movies for $7 a person. You pick a day of the week and go to one movie a week for 10 weeks. The movies are at 9:45am. That's my only drawback.

Hey N.,
If you are in east mesa I know that the red mountain center has drop in programs daily. They are very inexpensive and a great way to meet some kids her age.
you can check them out @ http://www.cityofmesa.org/parksrec/
Good luck beating the heat. :)

Swimkids is fun - she can do gymnastics or start swimming lessons.
My DD will be 3 in August and I just signed her up.
There is a play area you can hang around, and even bring a lunch and watch a move.

If you end up signing up - please tell them L. K. refered you. ( I just get $5 off one month - no big, but kind of nice to do)

Oh - they are on Guadalupe and the 101.

The library is also a good inside activity. If you go when they have story time, you would be with other kids.

Good Luck - I now have 3, but when my first was young it was a litte tough and a little lonely.

I know you said not to hot but this will kind of cool her down and have fun playing with other children. There is a park called Espee Park on Knox between Country Club and Mesa Dr. that has a water pad for kids to run through water and its free. My son is going there next week with his class. There is also a awesome water park at Tempe Town lake that is free too.
