Thanksgiving Dinner in Las Vegas

My family will be going to Vegas for Thanksgiving. Does anyone know of a good place to get a traditional Thanksgiving dinner? We'll be staying at a hotel on the strip but I don't mind traveling off the strip to get a nice meal. I'm not looking for a fancy restaurant (dress clothes) but someplace nice with good food that would cost less than $100 for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. I hope it's not too late to make reservations. Thanks.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

We ended up have our Thanksgiving dinner at the Palace Station. We ate at the Mexican retaurant there. I was a bit worried about having a turkey dinner at a mexican restaurant but it was very good. We actually went back for a mexican dinner another night. It was ok. Then we stopped back again on the way out of town for the breakfast buffet. It was so-so. There really is no such thing as a cheap buttet in Vegas anymore, at least what I could see. We liked going off the strip because it was cheaper and less crowded. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Every restaurant on the strip should be serving Thanksgiving dinner, however, it may be pricey.

I found this on the web http://www.opentable.com/promo.aspx?pid=1&m=10. It looks like most of the restaurants are in the strip hotels. Buca Di Peppo shows two $$, which I would say will be close to $100. At that price, I don't suggest you get a glass of wine because you will blow the budget.

Fresh & Easy stores are now taking Thanksgiving dinner orders. I have never had their Turkey dinner, but most of their cooked foods are good. As well, the grocery stores often have a prepared Thanksgiving dinner that can be picked up. Our markets are Vons, Albertson's, and Smiths.

Most often the markets are open in the morning and close early. As far as chain restaurants, Vegas has a lot of the same restaurants as Arizona has.

You may also find a local casino to have shorter lines and be less expensive. Most of them are near a freeway exit, so they should be easy to access. Sam's Town, Station Casinos, and the Cannery's.

Best wishes.

There are lots of moderately priced restaurants such as Marie Calendar's, Applebees, Cheesecake Factory, Claim Jumpter, etc that are off-strip and I'm sure they will be serving traditional Thanksgiving dinners. I'm also sure that all the Hotel/Casino properties will be doing Thanksgiving in their buffets. Those on the Strip will be the most expensive. Momwithcamera mentioned several of the off-strip casinos like the Stations; I would add South Point and the M Resort, both located on Las Vegas Blvd about 5-10 miles south of Mandalay (in fact, they would be my top choices). No need for reservations at the buffets.

Just thought of another great restaurant -- the Peppermill on the north end of the strip, between the Wynn and the Riviera. I would call them to verify that they are doing a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, and to see if they are taking reservations. It's a unique decor, very "old" Vegas, great food and huge portions.

The Bellagio's Thanksgiving buffet is outstanding and so is Caesar's.

Lawry's prime rib served turkey on thanksgiving. We have gone to the one in LA - but there is also one in Vegas. It's very good for thanksgiving. Might be hard to get in.

I know it's a buffet but I would look into Palace Station. They have the absolute best breakfast buffet in Vegas and we've been there for dinner once or twice and it was very good as well. https://palacestation.sclv.com/en/Dining/Feast-Buffet.aspx If you go to promotions, it has a little blurb on their Thanksgiving Day menu.

Enjoy!!
