Hi everyone!
I am looking for some ideas to give the teachers at my son's daycare and my daughter's school.
My son has 3 teachers in his classroom and my daughter has her main teacher, plus the women that work in the Before/After school program.
I would like to do a gift card of some sort so the teachers are able to spend how they want, but would prefer not to just give a gift card. Maybe some kind of theme or a cute way to display it would be nice.
Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated!

Also, do any of you buy for the office staff at the school or even the bus driver? Just wanted to check!

What can I do next?

I'm a teacher.

Trust me when I say get a gift card. Seriously. It's your best choice.

I had my son make the Christmas card. He decided he wanted to make a Christmas tree with ornaments. So we cut it out of construction paper and he put stickers and colored. On the back I had him dictate to me what he wanted to say to his teacher and I wrote it down (he is 5). Then I attached a $5 Starbucks card to each of his cards. (he made 2). My other son, 8, will be making a card tonight for his second grade teacher and she will also be getting a $5 card.
Last year my son rode the bus so I did get his bus driver a cute little card and some chocolates. I have never got the office staff anything.

Homemade gifts are nice and sentimental.

My SIL is a teacher and she said she could open a store with all the lotions, candles, etc that are the normal teacher gifts.

We usually do giftcards to Starbucks, bookstore or office supply because a lot of teachers spend their own money on school supplies.

Some of the hits we've also done were movie tickets and treats for 2 at the local theater, Godiva chocolates.

This year, we are doing the Godiva again because they love the chocolates.

My almost 16 yr old is in 10th grade and has 8 teachers and private cheer coach is getting cash.

no "teacher" gifts or ornaments! If you're covering several teachers, or the whole staff.....then I recommend a fruit & sweets baskets that they can help themselves to. Have a small bag for each teacher in the basket - with a few loose items they can munch on. If you still want to do the gift cards, then place the cards in the basket ....for presentation!

I made a card for my son's teachers and a $10 giftcard from Starbucks. My son also drew them a picture. He's in 1st grade. I am just giving his two main teachers a gift.
