"Swim Lessons Needed in West Pembroke Pines"

My 4 and 5 year old boys are in need of basic swimming lessons. I would like to start these in late March early April 08. There are a number of choices out there but I would love to hear your comments on any programs that you have used. They like going to the pool and I know that they need someone other than me to teach them the basic skills to keep them safe around water and then help them progress into stroke technique.

What can I do next?

Hi K.,

I used British Swim school for my daughter (who is now 3) and she learned, but was constantly sick. I now have her at memorial west where she is doing awesome. The classes run for 8 weeks at a time and the teacher/child ratio is lower than BSS.

Good luck!

K.,

I have a swim instructor that I have been using for a while now. He does private or group lessons and is great. His name is Ted Hanophy. He usually teaches at one of the hotels out in Weston because it is a heated pool (it is easier on the kids, it keeps them focused). If you would like, here is his number ###-###-####. Tell him that you got his name from S.. He teaches all age groups. He is amazing, my kids love him, he started teaching my youngest when he was just 10 months old.

Good luck.

I am starting group lessons with the British Swim School in West Pembroke Pines with my 19 month old daughter this weekend. For her age group, they call it swimboree. Its basically 5-6 kids in the water with their parents just getting used to the water. Eventually they will teach her survival techniques. Its located on Sheridan and 196th Street and the place came highly recommended but I'll know more about it next week. Im sure they offer private lessons.

British Swim School is great! My 2 year old has been going since Summer time and she is doing better every lesson. The swimboree teacher in Pembroke Pines on the weekend is wonderful. I usually go to sunrise but have done my make up lessons just this last weekend at the Pembroke Pines location. I have to say she is the best I have seen yet and that is saying a lot since I have loved every instructor who does the class.
