I'm looking for a "mommy and me" swim class for my 5 month old daughter and myself. I'm willing to do group or private lessons. I have access to a pool in Fullerton. Does anyone have a recommendation for a great instructor in the Anaheim/Fullerton area? Thanks.

What can I do next?

Cal state Fullerton, Fullerton college and the Brea Plunge all have lessons. Also, The YMCA next to St jude. they offer private and group. Look in those community fliers that come in the mail.

I know of two great instructors in the area. We've used Nathan for a couple of summers and he is awesome. We haven't personally used Nancy, but I've had the chance to observe her giving private lessons and she is great as well. Give them a call to find out what their current rates are. Last summer Nancy was charging $25 for a 30 minute session, and Nathan was charging $20 for a 30 minute session. I'm not sure if either has raised their prices.

Hello,

I have always done the "parent and child" class through our city recreation classes. It is a group class and less money then a private class. I looked up our cities class for this summer and it is $40 for 8 / 40 minute sessions. It's great and fun to talk with other moms in your area. Congratulations on your little one and have fun!!

Hi N.,
My son and I did a "mommy and me" class at the Brea Plunge last summer and plan to do it again this year. She would need to be six months old, but since they don't start until June 22nd this year, it sounds like she'll be old enough then. Non-Brea residents can sign up on June 13th. I'll be there. See below if you're interested.
