I use Melaleuca's - it uses zinc oxide, safer for us and comes in lotion or spray. If you want more info - e-mail me

Devita. It's the only thing I would ever put on my kid's skin. I rarely use it, as we don't go in the sun during the major UV hours and we are only in the sun for 2 hours or so. I don't have to give my kids vitamin D, since their body makes enough of it due to sun exposure without sunblock.

California Baby sunblock (can get it at Target) because it is frangrance free and hypo allergenic. Also Kiss My Face is all natural and easy to spray and rub in.

Great timing. I love the sunblock I get from Melaleuca. This month they have a bundle promotion which includes the sunblock, after sun, and lotion (which can't be beat) and yes a pretty bag to put it all in.

Hi Rose---Be sure to go to www.ewg.org and look at their skin care data base. They have a great list of the best and worst sunscreens, based on chemical composition. You can also find lists about your lotions, makeup, and the Dirty Dozen, the 12 foods you must purchase organically and the 12 best, those that don't have a huge pesticide load and are ok to buy from conventional farming. I spend a lot of time at ewg.

Be sure you are not doing more harm by putting chemicals in your baby that may be worse than a little sun. In fact, be sure to get 10 to 15 minutes of unfiltered sunlight whenever you can so that you all get adequate vitamin D made by your body.

Feel free to contact me with any other questions. I'm taking a series of wellness classes taught by a naturopath who has her phd in nutrition. Bullfrog makes a "quick spray". It goes on very quickly and dries on the skin, no need to rub in. My little ones have to tolerate a little rubbing on the face because you can't use the sprays on the face. If we are going somewhere and not staying at home I wait to do their faces until we are in the car to apply it - it's harder to squirm when you are strapped in a car seat.

the sprays are great! just make sure to not spray it in the face - spray some in your hand and do the face with your fingers.

I like the Melaleuca spray - it works great, and they have a spray on, which might make it easier for you to put on - no rubbing.

I've used Aveeno or Neutrogena spray and it's great. Just watch the eyes of course.... Both my kids have very sensitive skin and did well with both.
