Stroller for 5 Mos Old

I was so lucky to get a Peg Perego stroller & infant carrier from my sister in law who transitioned my niece to an umbrella stroller when my daughter was born 5 mos ago. The infant carrier has been great but I hate the stroller. Finally after dealing with it now for the past 5 mos I have to get a new stroller. I love the Bumbleride Indie but haven't bought it because of the price tag. I worry that it won't have the longevity & I will end buying an umbrella style stroller and not get my money's worth of teh Bumbleride. I need advice!

What can I do next?

I will second the wrap/sling suggestion. Especially now that it is getting cold - you can keep your little one nice and snug and who wants to haul around a stroller anyway? : ) I use the Ergo now that my son is 5 months old. He faces in and will sleep in it when we walk. Used it with my older son until he was 2 or so - they last a long time in them. Easy to put on, etc.

Otherwise, I just have the car seat with the stroller attachment.

Here is my advice DITCH the stroller and Get a WRAP or a Sling... wear your baby it is so comfy and much more natural, not to sound too granola about it.

I'm not sure what you liked about the strollers you've looked at. I really loved my simple Graco travel system. It's a full size stroller and it comes with a carseat and everything. I love that it has storage underneath and you can fold it with one hand. My son is 2 1/2 and we are still using this stroller. He still fits well and is comfortable. It is one of the least expensive models but it will still be around for number 2.

The Bumbleride looks very nice. I love my Bugaboo AND I love my BabyHawk carrier. I use them at different times for different reasons. I plan to use the carrier exclusively while on vacation, but if I were doing Disney, for example, I would pick up an inexpensive $20 umbrella stroller for the trip so I wouldn't have to worry about my nice stroller getting banged up in cargo or stolen. I say if you are really hankering for it, get it!

I personally think umbrella strollers look very uncomfortable. When kids sit in them, they're somewhat hunched over and sometimes their shoulders are pushed forward. We have a Evenflo travel system and even though we put the carseat in storage 2 years ago, we still use the stroller all the time. It's roomy enough for her to be comfy (and not hunched over) and there's tons of storage.
