Moms I was wondering if anyone has or has heard of a toy bear named Simon the Prayer bear. My daughter was given one 8 years ago when she was born. The bear is brown with a blue bow tie around the neck. He has scriptures on all his paws and tummy. If you press that verse/paw he will recite the scripture. My dilema is that his voice box stopped working last year and I would like to have it repaired or replaced or order another bear. The tag that is on Simon has faded so I can't read who the manufacture is/was. I have had no success trying to find info on google/amazon. Does anyone know of a toy repair place that might be able to help me or know who made Simon and if they're still in business? I did try the church bookstore which is where he was purchased from and they no longer carry it or remember who they bought them from. If you know of a local place in Tarrant County that would be great, but I will drive to Dallas if necessary or ship him out for repair if necessary (hate to, but will).
The company that made him is out of business, however, I found a new one on Ebay. Thanks Moms

i remember, i brought approx. 8 and over a year pass them out to love one. great gift for any age. the company was out of ill. and yes they are out of business i am looking to buy more myself. i am not willing to give my own away. they only costed around $13 dollars in 1995. if i find them and i will; i will post it for you.
I don't know if it's similar to what you want, but I've seen other prayer bears at Lifeway Christian store (maybe at Family Christian store or Mardel's too...not sure). They're like build-a-bear's where you pick out the animal, the clothes, and you put a prayer inside it before sewing it up. You can also get a voice box, but I don't know if it's pre-recorded, or if you record your own prayer. They're really cute! I don't know the brand or what it's called, though.
My friend had one that worked great. I am emailing her to see if she still has it. I will let you know when I hear from her.
