What if there was a place, one place that specialized for all single parents to go that offered assistance in all areas such as;
-rides to & from work
-rides for kids to school
-childcare
-cooking
-classes for careers & everyday things like changing a tire
-motivational/family coaching classes
-family nights/parents night out w/childcare provide(no more searching)
-staffing company
-credit repair help
-car & home loans
and lots more.......
What if such a placed existed? How would this help all single parents? How would it affect our time with our children? If you feel that this type of a service could assist you in bettering your life or just making things a little more simple, I would like you to write me a comment of how this would affect your life and what you think it could do for others.
That would be totally awesome! I can't go out because normally I don't have a sitter. I borrow my boyfriends car because he works with me.And it took me a week to find a sitter for my 5yr old. Granted I got an awesome sitter but it was annoying missing work.
Hi S. Sounds like a great idea, but why would you make it for singles only? Sometimes your married but your spouse works aout of town, etc. One stop shopping is a great idea, look at walmart-grocery and everything else.Costco same thing, less driving around is good for me. Something else on the parents night out I wish one of the church's would pick up on in each city(?) Our city had a church that on the first friday of each month they would hold a parents night out (5.00 per kid,5:00-10:00) it was wonderful, they promoted this so that the parents could (hopefully) spend some time($)in the city I loved it, and so did my kids. Hope you can get this up and working somehow. Good Luck
I am not a single parent, but I think it is a great idea. Are you planning to put it into practice?
I would like you to consider adding family financial advising to the list of offered services. This would be geared toward families -- life insurance protection, college savings plans, general debt elimination plans and how to create an emergency account. People could get their questions answered about money. I could help with all of these areas -- and I am a parent myself.

This would be heaven! Rides too and from work would save on gas, and being a single income family....and the prices of gas, also to help those that do not have the vehicles! that would be awesome... Rides for kids to/from school, for those that live out of "their" district such as myself... Childcare thats affordable, and motivational classes so you know your not alone! Credit repair, so you can charge that new table, or bed, or kids clothes you've been window shopping, get a home, nights out without seaching for sitters!!! Sigh..
To me this sounds like a FANTABULOUS!!! IDEA!
as for how it would affect our time with our children, to be honest when single mommy/single daddy are NOT so stressed, the time you spend with your children is really just you and them.. without all the worries. =) Happy Mommy, Happy Baby! Sign me up!
