Does anyone know of a mommy and me group or a playgroup that I can attend? I would love to meet other moms in the area. I have a 1 month daughter.

What can I do next?

I live in Imperial and am in a MOPS group. It is for any mom with children birth thru first grade. I know there are groups in Moon if you didn't want to come to Imperial. Check out www.mops.org.

T.,
I would recommend meetup.com and under Modern Moms you can join for free for 2 weeks and then its 24$ for the year and there are many meet ups in your area for playdates and Moms getting together.

Hi T.,
You should check out Urban Mommies. We have an event in Sewickley/Moon coming up in a few weeks and would love to have you join us! We've been reviewed here at mamasource and we are a Pittsburgh based, mom-owned business. Hope to see you soon!

T.,

You could try Storkbites. It's a mom and baby group that meets on Tuesdays from 11am-1pm for 6 weeks at Sharon Presbyterian Church in Moon. The group is led by some of the nurses from Sewickley Hospital. My daughter (5 months) and I went to the Jan/Feb and Mar/Apr sessions, and we really liked it. I think the next group starts on April 29. If you're interested, I can send you some more information.

I'll be interested once this little one is born (due in June), and I live in Moon. I also just came across this site for Beaver/Allegheny/Butler counties: http://www.wpafabfams.com. I haven't had time to check it out yet, though.
