Seeking Playgroup in Pine Valley/Bustleton, NE Philly

Hi there, my family moved to the Pine Valley area about a year ago and we would love to find a playgroup that helps us get to know our neighbors! I have two daughters ages 2 and 1 (nearly 3 and 2) who jump at the chance to socialize, and would be delighted to get together on a regular basis with other moms and kids nearby. I have a slightly crazy schedule because I work part-time and may not be able to commit to the same day every week, but would be interested to hear of any groups in the area. If none exist, let me know if you are nearby and interested and we'll start our own!

Thanks,
S.

Hi S. - I hope what I suggest is not in 'competition' with Mamasource but there is a Lower Bucks "meetup" Moms group that is constantly doing things - I haven't made it to anything yet b/c my daughter is only 8mths and everything is usually during her nap times - start here http://www.meetup.com/topics/ and click under parenting for what your interested in.
Hope that helps
S.

I am not close enough to you, but did you try the Moms Club of NE Philly??
Here is the link http://www.geocities.com/nephillymoms/
I joined mine in the West Norriton area and they have something planned every day of the week, and you can go or not go (it's up to your schedule). Good Luck! A. W.
P.S. My mom's club welcomes part time working moms also, so see if this one does also.

I also recently moved to N.E. Philadelphia. I have an 18 month old, and also have a crazy schedule, but I am very interested in having her in a play group. I live in Fox Chase, and can comitt to every other saturday. I have a great park down the street from me, and a court yard that has plenty of room to run and play. Let me know if you are interested, maybe we can coordinate a playgroup. I have been looking on playgroupsusa.com, but I can't seem to register on the site.

Thanks,
R.

S.,
I don't know of specific playgroups in your area, but I would suggest checking out the local library. The majority of the libraries in the area have Story hour each week. My kids have loved it and you can get to know other moms in the area that way as well.
