Hello everyone. I hope you can help. We've only lived in Texas a short time so I'm not all that familiar with places to shop. My son will be 6 next week and wants a pair of cowboy boots for his birthday (just like his dad wears!) We would love to get these for him. Can you give me ideas of where to purchase cowboy boots for a 6 year old?

What can I do next?

You might try the Justin Boot Outlet at 717 Vickery Blvd. in Ft. Worth. ###-###-####) Justin makes kid boots and the store has a lot of sizes and styles for kids and lots more for adults.

You can go to Sheplers located on 360 and Divison(by six flags), they also have a couple of other western stores in that same area so you can shop around for the best price.

They also have a Sergeants Western World on Cooper Street next to Walmart in Arlington.

Hope this helps your search. Also Boots fit different than shoes so you may want to take him in and have him try them on, or make sure you can return them if they don't fit.

You might try the Cowgirl Museum, they have a cute gift shop off Montgomery Street.

Justin Boots probably would have some. I've never boughtany cowboy boots, so that's the only places I know.

Congratulations on the adoption of your kids.

B.,

As quickly as the children grow, you won't want to spend lots of money on "real" cowboy boots. My grandson will receive his first pair next week for his third birthday. I am checking on Wal-Mart, Payless, and Target. They usually have the boots, and are much more reasonably priced.

They outgrow stuff so fast so I don't like to spend alot. We got our daughter's boots at Wal-Mart for $17.

We bought our 18 month old some at Fincher's Western warehouse in the Stockyards. They are still family owned and they measured her feet we got them one size bigger and she can still wear them at 2. She Loves boots!! I am not sure if places like Cavendars have boots for little kids.
