I used to get the gagging too- soo gross. My doctor said Vitamin B can help and you can get these things called preggie pops ( I think that is what they are called) to help with it. It is just another part of morning sickness. So if you can talk to you doctor about recommending something with Vitamin B.

I had problems with acid reflux when I was pregnant with my first child. Good old fashioned chocolate milk (white milk with the choc syrup added) would soothe my throat and and stop the burping. It was my nightime treat. Good luck! I hope you feel better!

Welcome to pregnancy! Cngratulations - you have heartburn!

Of course check with your Dr., But this was a terrible problem for me with my daughter and I took Tums, Pepcid, and Zantac. My Dr. actually gave me a script for Zantac since the OTC didn't work. She said no to Nexium, which worked well for me before I was pregnant. Mine was at it's worst from 6 wks to 3.5 months, so hopefully yours is nearing the end.

But, watch out for tomato-based pasta sauces, coffee, barbeque sauce, etc. towards the end of your pregnancy, I got it back whenever I'd "indulge" on something not bland. I also had the gagging with I was pregnant with my son. Drove me nuts - especially when I tried to brush my teeth. It also passed about 4 months in. I used Listerine first thing in the AM instead of brushing right away. Then, after I ate and my stomach settled, I brushed.

Also, get some Saltines and put them by/in your nightstand and BEFORE you even sit up in the morning, eat 1-2. This helped me so much. I also ate them throughout the day because at times, even water gave me heartburn!
